It will be enough?

There was a time in my life, where it was very difficult for me to say "no" to someone. Because after that '' no '' people wait for an explanation of why you are denying —no one likes a ''no'' for an answer— so I liked to avoid those uncomfortable moments that made me feel guilty for denying me. Did this ever happen to you?

  • It happens that we have a God, who doesn't fear those "uncomfortable moments", as He often answers us with a "yes", other times, without any problem He says "NO". And most incredible is, that most of the time, He doesn't give an explanation.

The problem, we do it for ourselves. We find it hard to believe in the sovereignty of God! We are used to seeing the works that His hands do: heal a cancer or any other disease, provide an economic need, resolve a family conflict, give the solution to a problem of daily life, perform miracles, etc.; We take the works of His hands as synonymous with a "yes" for an answer —we enjoy these ''yes'' right?

But what happens when it doesn't happen? Maybe you have been praying for a disease that you have battled for a long time, and healing doesn't happen. Maybe, you prayed when your parents had fights and in the same way they ended up divorcing. And you were even praying for a dream you loved so much and in the end the door is still closed. You go to God, and you receive a ''I am with you'' but not the explanation you so much want to hear.

This week, God confronted me with that in one of my times with Him.

This week, God confronted me with that in one of my times with Him. I have a red chair in my room, whenever I sit in it, I open the notes app on my cell phone and start talking to God. As in any relationship, you can not talk all the time, there must be a moment of silence so you can listen. That is communication. I have understood that when He speaks, I must listen and write. So, I don't miss any details.

  • I stopped talking; hey! That day I was in "mood: I want answers!" with God; not only for my own things but for other requests from people I was helping in prayer. And He spoke: ''- Have you seen the works of my hands? There is no impossible for me. But if you didn't see them, will you still love me? Will my presence in your life be enough even without those works?".

Uff! That answer amazed me. Of course, God wants to work miracles in our lives and has all the power to do so. But there are moments that I could not explain (nobody could) where He simply wants to show you that His presence is more than enough. (Ephesians 3:19, John 1:16)

I heard a phrase that says: ''I find God suitable''. In other words, ''I find God more than enough.'' Are you resting in the total sufficiency of God? Calvin used to say ''there are resources in Him, with which we can be filled, so that nothing lacks us''. The Apostle Paul said it this way in "2 Corinthians 9:8, And God is able to make all grace «abound» in you, so that,«always» having «everything enough» in all things , «Abound» for every good work."

Understanding this, the question is, will you continue to love God, if you don't see the miracle happen or the "yes" response to what you have been praying for? WillHis '' I am with you '' be enough without explanations for you?

I bless you and I hug you!
