There are things in life that are relatively simple and easy to do, like eating —besides, it's delicious, it's so easy to eat, that's why many of us have extra pounds. Getting angry or smiling is another example —for some, doing one is easier than the other— but it doesn't cost a lot of work.
Now, there are things that are a bit more complicated and that require more effort because they are not so easy to obtain or do, for example: obtain a university degree, a good job, build a family or a ministry, couple relationships, achieve dreams, lose weight, understand women and so on...
But it's good, that not everything in life is easy, because many of the things we have would not have the value they deserve. Isn't it true that everything that has cost you effort, tears, sleeplessness, pain —has a special value for you? The issue is, what to do with what has cost you so much? From experience, holding it in my hands hasn't worked, sooner or later I have lost it or it has been damaged; That has led me to look for a safer place. Is it okay if we see John 12?
In this passage we find Mary from Bethany, which had something of great value: a perfume. ''Only that? Is that all''a perfume''? You can think; but for her it meant so much. Maria decides to take that costly and pour it at the feet of Jesus (v.3). She didn't pour droplets. But the whole bottle, so much ''that the whole house was filled with the smell of perfume''. She didn't let it fall on the floor or keep it in her hands, where it would be wasted, but she poured it into Jesus' feet, where she knew it would be appreciated.
And Judas appears saying, v.5: "Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages." —this wasn't the true intention of Judas. This character is the clear example of those who are thieves, who when they see that they lose the opportunity to take advantage of something, they criticize.

Nobody has the right to tell you what to do with that which costs you so much. Because it's yours. It belongs to you.
But, you have the right to pour it at the feet of Jesús!
There will always be some Judas that will say: ''You could invest that which cost you so much in something much better'', ''it costs you so much time and effort for just give it to Jesus'', ''It's not worth it'', etc. Remember this: he is a thief. He's trying to steal that expensive treasure. Please don't listen to him!
Let nothing and no one stop you from giving everything you have in your life to Jesús!
¡Te bendigo y te abrazo!
