If you only knew...

A day without water? Chaos; not only for everything you have to do during the day in a house or place where you are, in your personal hygiene and more, but for the human body. Water is not an option, it is a necessity.
Water is so important, that of all the needs that the human body requires to live, such as sleeping and eating, the lack of water is the one that can least resist. Without eating, your body resists for 46-73 days; without sleeping, you could resist up to 11 days; but without water your body only resists a maximum of 5 days.
I think that for that reason, Jesus took very seriously when He referred to himself as «the water of life». And with this I want to focus today on John 4:10. It is one of the most famous meetings in the bible. Jesus breaks the schemes in their entirety. Without casualties, in the heart of God this meeting was planned. The meeting point, a well. And while the people saw an adulterous and sinful woman who was on her way to draw water from the well, Jesus saw the inner child —who had that woman inside— who was looking for the water that would satisfy the real need of her soul.
Jesus begins with her a topic of conversation, and what do you think He talked about? Yes! of water!. I love that God has his ways of speaking to us. Each person is facing something in their life and God knows it, but all conversation will take us to that meeting point: confront us and let us know that the only one that can satisfy us is Him.

''Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water. -John 4:10, NIV".
In another version it says ''If you only knew'', and it is so confrontative because you realize that because you did not know it, you have been looking for the water you need in other wells. It is the reason why you have constantly gone and returned in a thousand ways to those wells. But only one contains the water that gives life.
I see it this way: reality, is that there is no one who is not looking for God. They only look for him in other faces, hands and places. But you must know that He has come after you. And somewhere in your interior, there is a little boy/girl who looks for Him. The good news is: He is waiting for you!
I bless you and hug you!
