This week, in my time with God, I studied the book of Exodus. When you travel through the pages of this book, you find a people chosen by God ― what a privilege! ― but who is living a life of slavery. I can assume that this is not so far from our reality today. Many are living as slaves, when God calls them chosen — calm Lii, don't get ahead! ― Today I want to focus on chapter 14. Will you come with Me?... I told you that there was a chosen people living under slavery. Pharaoh was the one who oppressed, tormented, harmed and who made them live in fear. He was the enemy of this people, which made him the enemy of God. And that couldn't continue like this. God never stands idly by our enemies, ''v.8, The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, so that he pursued the Israelites, who were marching out boldly''. And when you read the word ''enemies'' don't think about the people who are making you ''difficult life'', because they are not exactly ―remember that we do not fight against flesh and blood (human beings), but against beings spiritual evils (Ephesians 6:12)― you just have to know, that God takes you out with a powerful hand just as He did with Israel.
But it happens that even in the midst of this, the people of Israel saw that Pharaoh was coming behind them. They went into panic and fear. They began to doubt and in fact they imagined themselves dead in the desert. ''v.11,They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?''; and this led me to think about the times in which our enemy has made us believe ―because of the fear― that it is better to die or to stay in the place, moment and circumstance where he has oppressed us; to face the desert process. We don't realize that the desert process is not for death, but that it leads to our freedom.
And God speaks through Moses, to His people, and He said to them: ''v13-14, Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” And I know that maybe what you like most about these verses, is the part that tells you that He will fight the battle for you; But I'll be honest, what struck me most was this promise: ''The Egyptians you see today you will never see again''. The sons of God have a common enemy, I don't know what form he enslaves you, harming you, causing you fear, attacking your family and everything around you, I don't know, but God knows. It is not anyone who is telling you to defeat your enemies, it is God. He can do it! He has all the power to win!
Please do not stay as a slave, position yourself as a chosen child and march, move forward! "v.15, Then Jehovah said to Moses: Why do you cry to me? Tell the children of Israel to march "; that your design is to cross the sea in dry, while your enemies sink into it, '' v.28-29a, When the waters recovered their normal state, they swallowed all the chariots and riders of Pharaoh, and all the army that he had entered the sea to pursue the Israelites. None of them was alive. The Israelites, however, crossed the sea on dry land...'' Be encouraged that you will see the glory of God!
I bless you and hug you!
