I promise you this isn't going to be some kind of biology class. And is that usually when we talk about cycles our thoughts relate this word to our environment and nature. In fact there are several cycles, one of the best known is the water, are the seasons, the female sexual cycle, circadian or sleep cycle and many more. But there are also the personal life cycles, where everyone, many times without realizing it, we are going through them. This is the one I want to give importance to today. You know, all these cycles have one thing in common: once they finish, they start again. So, I want you to ask yourself these questions: How many times have you been repeating the same story in your life? The same mistakes? The same crises? Did the same kind of people hurt you? The same temptations have made you fall? Do the same circumstances discourage you from walking with God? In other words, what is it that you have been repeating over and over again in your life, that once you think you finished with that, you go back to where you left off? Do you feel stuck? Well, I have news for you: you are living in a cycle.
Many of us come to depend on a cycle and just thinking about breaking it scares us. Even if that cycle causes us harm. And it's because the human being has the terrible habit of accommodating himself. They prefer to endure repeating the story with something or someone until they reach the point of breaking themselves. We have a hard time understanding that the only one who is happy, that we are dealing with this, is the enemy and that God did not design us for that. You are not designed to live in a cycle or in your past, God always does new things in us.
God tells you this today through Isaiah 43: 18-19: “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.'' When you live in a cycle, you are inside your own desert and dry land; because you stay in the past and in what you have repeated over and over again. So, you don't advance. But God is faithful. He makes you the promise that He is already doing something new and that there is no desert or dry land that will prevent Him from doing what He wants to do with you. So...
What are you waiting for? Stop breaking yourself and break those cycles once and for all!
I bless you and hug you!
